The Groundhog's day is celebrated in the USA to predict the weather of the following weeks. It is an American tradition celebrated on the 2nd February but it known what the weather will be like around the world. I think it can't be true because an animal can´t know how will be the weather. Apart from that, I think that traditions are interesting and good for the people because the can have fun, as in celebrations and festivities. In Salobreña, there is another similar tradition that says : " el día de la estrella, 40 días como ella". That means that it is taken one day in April, and depending on the weather of this day, there are going to be 40 days like it. Old people think that it is true, however I think that it is only an old tradition.
Bullying is an English word that comes from "bull". It is when one child teases another child. Although it has always existed, it is now a real problem in Spain and in other countries too. Children sometimes insult, tease and hit other children in schools and outside schools. We sometimes think that it is normal, but it is bullying, a very serious crime. I have seen on the news that many children die or commit suicide do because of this, so, we must doo something. Governments should create very strict laws to stop this!!! Teachers must have more authority too. We are all equal... so stop bullying!
Many animals are used for experimentation.This is a very controversial thing, because there are good things and bad things of this issue. On the one hand, it is true that we use them to find a cure for many deseases, and this has saved many lives and has developed science. On the other hand, many animals suffer and we are sometimes very cruel with them. I think we shouidn't use animals for things like cosmetics or other not important things. In summary, I think that doing experiments with animals can be very useful, but we must be careful and not mistreat them. We shouldn't use them for very important things
The world peace day is celebrated the 30th January. It is a special day to remember those peole who have died in wars and the people who have fought against poverty, illnesses, violence, or other kind of mistreatment. We don't only have to celebrate the peace day this day, but all the days of the year because there are wars and hunger everyday.
There are a lot of good people we can remember this day as: Mandela, Malala, Ghandi, as we can see in the videos. We celebrate this day in my school making posters, watching films, and some other activities.
I hope one day we won´t celebrate this day, because that means there isn't any violence.
The new Pope Francisco seems more modern than the other popes. He has said many things that are new for the Catholics. For me, there are different kinds of family. For example, a man with his children, a woman and one man, two men or two women, etc... So, it is difficilt to say what it is right or wrong beacuse he can't decide for you.
In the future, I hope to one a family, with two or three children. I think that having two or three children is enough, because of the money, because of your time, etc.
All in all, I think that it is very soon to think in my future and children... who knows?
