What to eat or not to eat? that is the question!!!

An allergy is the response of the body's immune system to normally harmless substances, such as pollens, foods, and house dust mite. While in most people these substances pose no problem, in allergic individuals their immune system identifies them as a’ threat’ and produces an inappropriate response.
People say that now there are more allergies than in the past. They say that this is because of pollution, bad habits, a lot of cleaning... but I think that people didn't know if they were allergic or not, there weren't tests to know it. 
I know a lot of people with allergic problems, especially to dust. For example my brother is allergic to dust and pollen. I think I´m not allergic to anything.
I hope that scientists can find a cure for this illness, because many people can't have a normal life, they can do or eat what they want.

All work and no play makes Jack/Jill a dull boy/girl!!!

That proverb means that children must play apart from working or studying. I have read that children now have a lot of activities: going to school, sports, classes in the afternoon, learning new languages,etc.. we are always doing something, we don´t have time to relax and go out with our friends. 
I think that parents and teachers must know that we have a lot of things to do in the mornings and in the afternoons, they must think before giving us more work to do. We are living in a very competitive society, and people must know about everything, and life can rather stressful.. We can't learn how to play an instrument, playing a sport, studying a lot,...that's impossible.
I think that children must be children, we have to have time to relax, play, and do what we want.

Pollution is a serious problem in our society. We are polluting our oceans, air, earth, plants, ... and this has a lot of bad effects for our health, and for animals and plants.

I have read that there is a lot of pollution in some countries, especially in China. People can't breathe normally and they have got a lot of respiratory problems. This is because there are a lot of factories polluting the air every day without control. China is becoming a very rich country, but people are dying because of the pollution.

In Spain, we have a lot of polluted cities, for example, Madrid and Barcelona. Also, we have now this problem, and some city councils are trying to control the traffic in the cities.

If we don´t do anything quickly, we or our children will die very soon.

The Chameleon has passed away (How sad it is for the world of music!)

David Bowie, who is a famous artist that has died very recently, is known as the Chameleon because he changed very much his mage. I don´t know anything about him because he sang in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
I have read on the internet the following facts about his life.
He was an English singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the 1970s. In 1962, Bowie formed his first band, the Konrads. He later went on to perform under the name David Bowie.He has made a lot of important and famous albums which are still very popular.In 1970, David Bowie married his first wife, Angela. They had a son, known as Zowie, but Angie and David got divorced after eight years of marriage.David's second marriage was to the Somalian model, Iman Abdulmajid, in 1992. The couple has one child, daughter Alexandria Zahra Jones.
He finally died of cancer on 10th January 2016. I think I will ask my mother about him, she probably knows him bette!!

What will the weather be like, Mr Marmot?

The Groundhog's day is celebrated in the USA to predict the weather of the following weeks. It is an American tradition celebrated on the 2nd February but it known what the weather will be like around the world. I think it can't be true because an animal can´t know how will be the weather. Apart from that, I think that traditions are interesting and good for the people because the can  have fun, as in celebrations and festivities.
In Salobreña, there is another similar tradition that says : " el día de la estrella, 40 días como ella". That means that it is taken one day in April, and depending on the weather of this day, there are going to be 40 days like it. Old people think that it is true, however I think that it is only an old tradition.

Bullying is for losers

Bullying is an English word that comes from "bull". It is when one child teases another child. Although it has always existed, it is now a real problem in Spain and in other countries too.
Children sometimes insult, tease and hit other children in schools and outside schools. We sometimes think that it is normal, but it is bullying, a very serious crime.  I have seen on the news that many children die or commit suicide do because of this, so, we must doo something.
Governments should create very strict laws to stop this!!! Teachers must have more authority too. We are all equal... so stop bullying!

Animal abuse

Many animals are used for experimentation.This is a very controversial thing, because there are good things and bad things of this issue.
On the one hand, it is true that we use them to find a cure for many deseases, and this has saved many lives and has developed science.
On the other hand, many animals suffer and we are sometimes very cruel with them. I think we shouidn't use animals for things like cosmetics or other not important things.
In summary, I think that doing experiments with animals can be very useful, but we must be careful and not mistreat them. We shouldn't   use them for very important things
